About this video

Real knowledge sits partly in structured records and partly in prose. This video pulls structure out of three documents, watches extraction split one supplier into three identities, resolves them into one, and keeps the documents attached to the entity because extraction is lossy by design. Then the two combinations: a similarity search hands the graph an entity id to expand from, or the graph scopes which documents are eligible and similarity ranks inside that scope.

You'll learn how to:

  • Extract entities and relationships from text, and resolve the identities extraction splits
  • Keep source documents linked to the entity rather than replacing them with edges
  • Enter by similarity and expand the neighborhood by structure, with identifiers doing the handoff
  • Scope by structure first so a semantic search never wanders into another customer's paperwork

For developers combining a vector store and a knowledge graph in one retrieval system.
